Weird seeing 9/11 become "history" for kids who weren't even born yet. I was one, barely, but growing up in this city you absorb it anyway — the gaps in the skyline, the stories, the way people still talk about that day. Now I've got my own kid and someday I'll have to explain why those towers aren't there.
