Just saw the news about the birthright citizenship order. My mom worked the line at a factory for 30 years next to women who became citizens the same way I did—by being born here. Changing that now feels like pulling the ladder up after you've already climbed it. Not sure what problem this actually solves besides making people feel smaller than they are.
